Our Story
True North Home Goods is where premium quality meets practicality. I’m Drew, founder of True North, and I live in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with my wife, Julie, and our two boys, Wilder and Elijah.
My journey to creating True North Home Goods started in the trenches—literally. I’ve spent most of my life working dirty, demanding jobs, from the oil fields of North Dakota to pressure-washing under dumpsters. After long days like that, I’ve always prioritized two things: coming home to a space that feels clean and comfortable, and taking care of my body so I can keep showing up every day.
In 2019, after marrying Julie, I traded life on the road for a slower pace at home in Minnesota. If you’ve lived through a Midwest winter, you’ll understand the downtime that can come with outdoor work. That first winter, I decided to channel my creative side and started developing a home and personal care line specifically for men—guys like me who don’t shop often, but when they do, want products that are built to last and deliver on their promises.
What started as a product line “made for men” quickly evolved with Julie’s input. She helped me realize that the products I use impact her too—whether it’s the candles we burn in our home or the skincare products on my shelf. Her perspective helped shape not just the fragrances but the mission of True North Home Goods: Made for Men. Woman Approved.
Since those early days, my passion for crafting high-quality, natural products has grown alongside the business. From our signature 75-hour Soy Candles to our healing salves and cold process bar soaps, every product is designed to be as effective as it is aesthetic—because men deserve premium products that actually work.
